From day one, what are we taught? We are taught to “Follow Directions”!! Then, we become adults and teach the very same thing to our children. Then it happens again: our children will teach their children. Following directions is the secret to a “prosperous” life. I am teacher so, let me give you the evidence behind my discovery and a personal principle in my life.
\nLet’s start from day one. Your mom says, “Don’t play fight with your siblings because someone will get hurt.” What happens minutes later? You are crying because you got hurt from play fighting. What did you and I do to get hurt in the first place is that we did NOT follow the directions. Every day we have an opportunity to follow directions, now lets move forward to the first year we drove in our new car. What is the first thing we learned? How to follow the direction of the road, for example a red light means stop. Directions are put in place to keep us “safe” from all harm. It could be bodily harm, spiritual harm, mental harm, and\/or emotional harm, which we are saved from.
\nRemember earlier when I shared that following directions will make your life “prosperous” here is the evidence. Proverbs 3:1,2 – “My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to you.”
\nSo remember Following Directions = safety from all harm, peace, long life, length of days, and prosperity<\/p>\n
